Rule of thumb: a single girder crane is lighter and more economical and covers most workshop jobs at moderate capacity, span and duty. A double girder crane wins for heavier capacities, wider spans, harder duty cycles and when you need maximum hook height.

Duty class describes how hard the crane works — load spectrum times operating time — from light workshop duty up to continuous steel-mill duty. Getting it right protects both lifetime and price: over-specifying costs money, under-specifying costs the crane.

Capacity = your heaviest regular load plus the weight of any below-the-hook device (magnet, grab, spreader) plus a sensible margin — don't size the whole crane for a once-a-year lift. Span = the distance between runway rail centers, normally your column spacing minus clearance. Lifting height = floor to highest hook position — watch the roof trusses.

The honest answer: it depends on five factors — capacity & span, duty class, component brands, certification requirements and trade terms. As a rough indication for standard configurations: a 5 t single girder overhead crane typically falls around US$6,000–15,000 FOB, a 10 t single girder around US$9,000–20,000, a 20 t double girder around US$25,000–60,000; heavy-duty and special cranes are quoted per project.

Four usual reasons: steel quantity (girder plate thickness varies enormously between designs), duty-class honesty (a crane quoted as A5 but built as A3 is cheaper — until it wears out), component brands (hoist, motors, electrics), and what's included (freight, certification, spares, support). Ask every supplier for an itemized quote and compare line by line — ours comes itemized by default. Be cautious with a price far below the pack: the steel alone has a market price.
A recommended configuration and budget price within 24 hours of receiving capacity, span and lifting height. Formal quotations stay valid for 30 days; steel prices and exchange rates move, so after that we reconfirm — usually the same day.
Most orders run T/T: a deposit with the order, balance before shipment — goods ship once the balance clears. Irrevocable L/C at sight is accepted, though we'll tell you honestly: L/C means higher bank fees and slower payment, and many buyers get the same security for less with T/T plus SGS pre-shipment inspection. Smaller orders can simply pay in full by T/T. A proforma invoice states the exact terms before you pay anything.
One crane is a normal order — no minimum; we even take spare-parts-only orders. We quote EXW, FOB, CIF or CFR routinely, and DAP / DDP for many destinations (recent DDP deliveries include Mexico and Malaysia) — availability confirmed per destination country. Send your port and we'll include freight so you compare true landed cost, not just factory price.

The fee (typically a few hundred US dollars) is borne by the buyer, and for many orders T/T plus SGS inspection replaces a costly L/C outright. Typical production time: 4–6 weeks for standard single girder cranes, 8–10 weeks for double girder; complex custom cranes are scheduled per project — large metallurgical systems can run several months. Add sea freight for door-to-door planning. The schedule is written into the contract and tracked with progress updates.
As standard, you receive test photos and videos before packing — proof of your crane running, on record before it ships. For major orders we provide regular progress updates through production, and a live video call at any point is fine. You don't need to fly here to know exactly where your crane is.
Every crane passes our five-gate QC and a final test sequence: no-load running of every motion and powered function tests of all mechanisms and limit switches — with photos and videos sent to you before packing. We build to your grid: 380V/415V at 50Hz, 440–460V at 60Hz and other national standards, with control circuits at safe low voltage (36/48V). State voltage and frequency in your inquiry — it affects motors, panels and certification.

If anything is missing or damaged, send photos — the container photos taken before closing establish responsibility fast, and replacements ship immediately (urgent missing items go by air; it's an established process, not a favor).

Standard warranty is 12 months from commissioning completion, capped at 18 months from the B/L date — stated in your contract, covering manufacturing defects in structure and components. During warranty we resolve issues by remote diagnosis, replacement parts or, where needed, an engineer visit — and wear parts stay available long after.
Send the crane number from the nameplate plus a photo of the part — common wear parts (contactors, brake pads, wheels, ropes) dispatch within 3–7 days from stock or production, and urgent warranty parts go by air. A recommended spares kit can ship with the crane.
