Description

Garbage grab overhead crane is the core equipment of the garbage feeding system in the municipal solid waste incineration plant, which is located above the garbage storage pit. Normally there will install 2 sets same specification garbage grab crane for feeding the boiler, mixing, stacking, moving, weighing and stirring, and make sure garbage materials into the boiler evenly.

Crane type

The main duty of the 2 cranes are as below:

Crane-1 duty:

 

  • Handling of fresh mixed Municipal Solid Waste(MSW) from heaps formed in pit by tipping vehicles.
  • Moving MSW from unloading area to storage heaps within the pit
  • Transferring partially dried MSW from storage heaps to the hoppers for processing/segregation.

Crane-2 duty:

  • Handling processed MSW/Refuse Derived Fuel(RDF) from heaps formed in pit by tipper conveyor and spreading for storage in RDF storage pit
  • Transferring RDF/MSW from storage heaps to hoppers for boiler feed.

 

Design Points

Both cranes will operate on continuous basis 24 hours per day. The entire garbage crane is designed with M8 extra heavy duty according to the actual operating conditions. According to the working environment, humanized design, anti-corrosion design are added and foreign advanced technologies are absorbed and optimized. The whole grab crane is suitable for dusty, high humidity and harsh environment work in the garbage station, and the whole crane service life is at least 30 years.

The garbage grab crane adopts fully automated control or semi- automated control in the energy to power plant. Operator controls the operation in the fixed garbage crane control room through PLC and HMI. Through the touch screen to click the position of the grabbing and feeding, it can realize the process of automatic grabbing, automatic repetitive completion of feeding and stacking, automatic parking and other processes. And has a large lifting height anti-sway, real-time dynamic measurement, programmable control of opening and closing, fault diagnosis alarm and remote fault diagnosis function.

  • Intelligent electric control system (including weighing system, control system, anti-sway system, safety protection system): including inverter, Siemens touch screen,PLC, HMI and other components
