The light monorail crane system moves loads along a fixed line. A single enclosed track is suspended above the work area, and one or more hoists travel along it on trolleys. It is the simplest and most economical member of our modular light crane family, for loads from 125 kg to 2 t.
Straight and curved track sections are combined to follow the production flow: a straight run between two machines, an L- or U-shaped line around equipment, or a closed loop that brings the hoists back to the start. The track can be hung from the existing roof steelwork, so in many buildings no additional steel structure is required.
Each hoist trolley can be pushed by hand or driven by its own travel motor. There is no central drive station and no traction chain, so the line length is not limited, loads can be moved in both directions and extra hoists can be added later.
Curved sections have a standard radius of 1.5 m or 2 m. They are normally operated with push travel and loads up to 500 kg; electric travel through curves and heavier loads are engineered case by case.
