Insulation resistance is measured, and necessary drying processes are carried out. All defects are rectified, and irreparable components are replaced, with the scope of this maintenance dictated by the actual wear and aging levels of the equipment.

Fire Safety Measures:

Crucial fire safety protocols are in place, including the use of dry fire extinguishers, primarily carbon tetrachloride extinguishers. In case of a fire outbreak, the immediate action involves cutting off the power supply. Emergency switches and knife switches on protecting panels are used for this purpose. Conductors catching fire require the knife switch on the feeding line to be cut off.

In the event of a crane catching fire, a meticulous cleaning, drying, and inspection process is mandatory for all electrical equipment and wiring. The crane can only be reinstated for operation after successful repairs and thorough quality checks.
